Here are some of the fixes as well as workarounds that you can follow to fix the issue –

Enable Vulkan API –

The first fix that you can follow to resolve the DirectX issue in the game is to enable Vulkan API. Likewise, it is a very simple workaround for the issue. All you have to do is to open up the in-game launcher from Steam. Then, you have to click on the Settings wheel icon. Here, you have to go to the Rendering API and select Vulkan. Additionally, you can also enable the Skip Driver Warning option in case you have older graphics drivers.

Run the game in High-Performance mode –

Another workaround for the issue in the game is to run it in the High-Performance mode. Likewise, you can follow the steps below to do this –

  1. Firstly, you have to run the game in this mode to make sure you use the full power of your GPU. Therefore, you have to first go to Windows start and type in GPU in the search.
  2. Then, you have to click on Graphics Settings. In the Graphics Settings, you have to click on the Add an app option and select Desktop app if the game is on Steam. Otherwise, you have to select the Microsoft Store app if the game is on Xbox Game Pass.
  3. Next up, you have to click on Browse in the Graphics Settings and go to the local files folder of the game. In the local files folder of the game, you have to locate the bin folder and select Sniper5_dx12.exe and Sniper5_vulkan files in the folder.
  4. Now, you have to add them both to the Graphics Settings.
  5. Finally, you have to click on both the Sniper 5 files and select Options. In the options, you have to select High Performance and save.

Run the game in Windowed mode –

This is a rather simple fix that you can follow to resolve the issues. Likewise, all you have to do is to go to the in-game launcher in Steam and select the Windowed Mode option. You can now run the game in this mode.
