Chicken Breeding in Slime Rancher 2 is a necessary part of the game in some way. One, because Chickens are a source of a diet – meat, which is necessary for feeding certain slimes. The second reason is that keeping the Slimes in good health will result in more and better Plorts. Now, Plorts are an extremely important aspect of the game as, without them, there would be no room for better resources and equipment. What is important to realize is that meat is an essential component in the diet that is used in raising certain Slimes if you have them. The Honey Slimes for example need meat to produce Plorts. Thus, to have meat, you need to breed Chickens. Let us learn below how to do that.
Slime Rancher 2: How to breed Chickens
To breed Chickens in Slime Rancher 2 is rather simple. As the laws of nature go, all you have to do first is find a male chicken (A Roostro) and a female chicken (A Hen Hen). Then, your best possible approach to breeding them is to form a coop for them. The easiest way to do this is by spending Newbucks. All you must do is set up a coop for 250 Newbucks and then go hunting. We mean this literally in the game. To breed chickens as discussed above, you need a Hen Hen and a Roostro. Now, you may have no problems finding a Hen Hen but sadly a Roostro will be harder to find. To be frank, the Roostros are a rare species and will not be found easily. To combat this, you must work hard to find yourself a Roostro for breeding. This is something only you can do.
Once you go out and start hunting for Hen Hen and a Roostro, you will need patience as this is a rather challenging task. But, when you have finally found one each, you may bring them to the coop location with you. After reaching there, you only have to place both of them inside the fence of the Coop. This will mostly ensure that your chicken breeding is about to start. Now all you have to do is wait to get Chickadoos. Also bear in mind that some chickens will get older after reproducing and will be less beneficial. However, they are excellent sources of meat for the Slime diet.
