Original post from June 24, 2023 follows below-
Six Days in Fallujah is a new FPS tactical shooter game that offers realism like no other. Fallujah, a city in Iraq, has had a long and tumultuous history. Before it made headlines, it had already seen its fair share of wars and battles. Six Days in Fallujah aims to recreate the scene of the Second Battle of Fallujah. If we could sum up the game in one word, it would be “realistic”. The developers have gone the extra mile to give the players the raw, organic feel of a battlefield in the game. It offers online co-op gameplay, and as such, you may be looking for a way to enable the Push to Talk feature while playing with other players. But how do you do so? Well, keep reading for everything you need to know on this matter.
Talking more about the game, the missions are varied and procedurally generated, offering replayability. The AI enemies are challenging and engaging, making firefights intense and sometimes scary. The audio design and visuals contribute to the game’s immersion. Overall, the game is good, as evidenced by the mostly positive reviews on Steam. However, it is still in Early Access, which makes it prone to bugs and errors and even misses out on some of the essential features.
Six Days in Fallujah: How to Enable Push to Talk?
If you didn’t already know, in Six Days in Fallujah, there is currently no push-to-talk (PTT) option for voice chat. Yes, as of writing this article, you will not be able to use the push-to-talk feature to communicate with other layers like you normally do in any other online co-op game. But why did the developers not include such a common feature? Well, maybe because the game aims for realism, the local voice chat is always on, simulating real-life communication during combat situations. Naturally, players have already started expressing mixed opinions about the lack of PTT, as the always-on nature of the voice chat can lead to unwanted background noises. After all, who would want to hear chaotic sounds while trying to dodge gunfire on the battlefield?
Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel because the developers have acknowledged the lack of PTT in the game, and mentioned that they are “experimenting” with options to implement this feature. It is good to see that the developers understand the importance of such a basic feature in online co-op games. But still, it is unclear when this feature will be implemented. On a positive note, a recent patch has introduced the much-anticipated FOV (Field of View) slider, allowing players to adjust their preferred field of view. So, based on this, we can expect a new patch soon that eventually brings push-to-talk. With that said, we hope this guide was helpful. For more reads like this, keep visiting DigiStatement.
