Nothing’s worse than grinding your way through Schedule I, ready to expand your empire, only to find that the game refuses to let you unlock a new dealer. You’ve got the cash, the connections, and the ambition. So why is the game holding you back? If you’ve run into this frustrating bug, you’re not alone. So, is there a way to fix it? Let’s dig into what’s going on.
Players have reported being unable to unlock new dealers in Schedule I, even when meeting all the requirements. For example, one player and their friend tried to recruit Molly after gaining loyalty from all her contacts, but the option to hire her never appeared. This frustrating issue has left many wondering if there’s a workaround or if they’re stuck waiting for a patch. So, here’s more regarding the same.
Schedule I Unable to Unlock New Dealer bug: Is there any fix yet
Since the game is in early access, a lot of mechanics are in the works, and therefore, we do not have official or sure-shot fixes for issues like these. What we do have are those affected players and the workarounds that they have shared. We have scoured the internet to list these potential fixes for you to try below
Keep Selling
To unlock a new dealer like Molly, keep selling products until you eventually sell to one of their connected friends. After completing the deal, you’ll receive a notification or dialogue indicating that the dealer is now available for recruitment. It may take a few transactions, but persistence is key!
Host hire
If you’re playing co-op and can’t recruit a new dealer like Molly despite having all loyal contacts, the issue might be that only the host can hire dealers. Make sure the host is the one initiating the recruitment process, and you should be able to unlock the new dealer without any problems. This has worked for some players, so it is worth a shot!
Knock and talk
If you’re stuck with a dealer who won’t unlock despite having maxed-out loyalty with their contacts, try having the host of the game talk to them the next in-game day. This method seems to reset whatever was causing the issue, allowing the dealer to finally be recruited and start working as intended. Some players have also reported that knocking the dealer out first helped, but it might not be necessary in all cases, and just talking to her might do the trick.
Verify and update
Make sure your game files are intact and up to date. To do this, go to your Steam library, right-click on Schedule I, select Properties, then navigate to Installed Files and click “Verify Integrity of Game Files.” This will check for any missing or corrupted files and replace them. Additionally, keeping the game updated ensures you have the latest patches, which may include fixes for dealer-related bugs.
For now, those are all the workarounds that we have, which might solve the issue of unlocking new dealers in Schedule I.
