Galaxy Fold 2

With the flow of time, we keep witnessing new innovations in the world of technology. The debut of foldable devices makes this era remarkable in the tech industry. While the feature of foldable devices is not yet clear, these devices are stealing the spotlight for sure. We have already seen a couple of foldable smartphones recently; that was a great start, to be honest. South Korean OEM Samsung, the brand that brought epic flagships like the Galaxy Fold and the Z Flip has done quite a commendable job with these devices. Samsung will also very launch the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2 very soon. This device is expected to come with improvements over its sibling that has a few setbacks.

Galaxy Fold 2 new renders:

Galaxy Fold 2

A few weeks back, we saw a number of possible designs for the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2. Back then, we were not pretty sure about how the actual device is going to be. Things now seem to be getting in place together slowly. We now have a few design renders of the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2. Well, we are not still sure about this one as well. However, these designs seem to be a bit more real enough and possible for the Galaxy Fold 2. One of the popular concept creators, Ben Geskin, revealed a new concept render of the Galaxy Fold 2. Have a look at these:

The renders show more of a square-shaped design for the unfolded Galaxy Fold 2. What’s even more interesting is that the render shows an S pen along with the device. The inclusion of S Pen is still a mystery. There have been many talks about the S Pen, which sometimes say that we might get to S Pen along with the Fold 2 while some say it won’t support S Pen. Another possible design on Instagram by the same creator reveals the possible dimensions of the device. It suggests that the device will have a tall 6.2-inch screen on the front when folded as a clamshell and a huge 7.6-inch square-shaped display when unfolded.

Galaxy Fold 2 Specifications:

Just like the designs, we also saw a number of possible specifications for the Galaxy Fold 2. Some sources reveal some info while others reveal something else. Back then, we came up with the most possible spec-sheet for the device. Well, now we have along with us more refined and relatively more possible specifications of the device. These specs come straight from Ross Young, the CEO of DSCC. They claim that they have the most probable specification details of the upcoming Fold 2. They further say that the Fold 2 is codenamed “Project Champ” which doesn’t match up with the earlier codename that was revealed from the Galaxy S20 kernel source code.

Galaxy Fold 2

According to the latest specs from DSCC, the Galaxy Fold 2 will have a 7.59 inch Dynamic AMOLED display. The display on the front will be a taller 6.23-inch display. It is going to be a normal 60Hz rather than a 120Hz screen which was said earlier. The device will house the extremely powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or even the latest 865+ chipset depending on the time by which it releases. The screen will be mainly of ultra-thin glass with a layer of plastic protection. The device will come with the latest version of Custom OS by the time of its release. The support for S Pen now seems much profound than earlier. We might actually get to see it.

Talking about the camera, new data reveal that the device will have the same camera setup from the S20+ instead of the S20 Ultra. On the back, it will have a 12MP primary sensor alongside a 64 MP telephoto lens and a 12MP ultrawide sensor as well. On the front, the device will have either a 10 or 40 MP punch-hole selfie-shooter. The device will offer up to 512 GB of ultra-fast storage. The device will also have a huge 4500 mAh battery or even a bigger one, along with support for 25W fast charging. The protrusion in the screen, which was present in its sibling, has now been taken care of. This was a much-needed change.
