Roboquest multiplayer not working How to fix it

Roboquest continues to keep players engaged with its dynamic first-person shooter gameplay and rogue-like elements. But of course, the game has also kept some players up with crashes and other errors. Likewise, some players have encountered a hiccup in their experience—issues with the multiplayer functionality. Multiplayer mode in Roboquest is designed to allow players to team up with friends and face the robotic adversaries together. However, certain players have reported difficulties, ranging from connection problems to other issues hindering the enjoyment of cooperative play. Well, if you are encountering the same, consider reading until the end.

So, here is the deal: some players are encountering persistent issues with the multiplayer functionality in Roboquest, particularly when attempting to invite or join friends. The problem manifests as an indefinite “creating session” status, preventing players from establishing a connection. Additionally, reports indicate that multiplayer disconnections are also prevalent.

Roboquest multiplayer not working: How to fix it?

Unfortunately, there is no singular fix for these problems. Instead, players are encouraged to explore a spectrum of potential workarounds that may or may not fix the issue. We have listed those workarounds below; check them out.

Restart the Game/System

The first thing to do is to restart the Roboquest game and, if necessary, your system. This can help refresh the game’s connection and resolve any temporary glitches or issues that might be hindering the multiplayer functionality.

Check Your Internet Connection

After a restart, make sure that your internet connection is stable and has sufficient bandwidth for multiplayer gameplay. Unstable or slow connections can lead to issues like indefinite “creating session” messages. Consider restarting your router, using an Ethernet cable or switching to an entirely different network altogether.

Game updates

Check for game updates in your library on platforms like Steam or the Epic Games Store. Ensure that your copy of Roboquest is running the latest version by installing any available updates. It is possible that the latest update/patch has addressed this issue and you are missing out on it.

Check Server Status

Also, consider checking the server status of the game on the official Roboquest website or the developer’s social media channels. If there are reports of server instability or maintenance, it’s advisable to wait until the issues are resolved.

Keep retrying

Following a game restart and confirming a stable internet connection, if the servers are operational, consider making multiple attempts to join or create a multiplayer session in Roboquest. Retrying persistently was what fixed the issue for some players.

Epic Account

Another reported fix involves addressing the lack of an Epic Games account link, which appears to be the root cause of the issue. An affected player created a new Epic Games account using a temporary email, allowing the game to successfully issue a session ID. Subsequently, they unlinked their Xbox account from the temporary Epic account, signed into their actual Epic account, and successfully linked their Xbox account. Doing so fix the multiplayer issues in-game.

Verify Files

This process checks for any corrupted or missing game files and automatically replaces or repairs them.

For steam:
  • Open Steam, go to “Library”, and find “Roboquest”.
  • Right-click, select “Properties”, and go to “Installed Files.”
  • Click on the “Verify Integrity of Game Files” option.
Verify Files via EGL:
  • Open Epic Games Launcher and select “Roboquest” in your library.
  • Click on the three dots (…) and choose “Verify”.
  • After this, let the launcher do its work.
  • Once the scan is completed, launch the game and check if the issue persists.

Reinstall and Contact Support

If the issues persist, consider reinstalling Roboquest. This involves uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it. Before doing so, reach out to the game’s support channels for assistance. Developers may provide additional guidance or be aware of specific issues affecting multiplayer that can be addressed in future updates.

And those are all the workarounds that you can try for now. We hope this was helpful. And remember, whenever you run into any error while gaming, visit DigiStatement first for the best troubleshooting guides. Read more: Palworld Failed to EOS Login Error Timeout On PC: How to fix it
