Twisting Wounds mutator in Remnant 2

The best thing about the games in the Remnant series, besides the appealing visuals that they employ, are the weapons. The games require players to engage in intense battles against fearsome enemies and offer several powerful weapons for this purpose. The developers, Gunfire Games, released their latest title in the Remnant series, Remnant 2, on July 25, 2023. And just like its predecessor, Remnant: From the Ashes, this game features a number of iconic weapons, such as the Enigma Handgun. However, it gets even better with the weapon mutators, which can buff the weapons to the next level. One such strong mutator in the game is the Twisting Wounds mutator. However, since the game is relatively new, players still haven’t figured out how to get their hands on this item. So, in this article, we’re going to show you how to collect the Twisting Wounds mutator in Remnant 2.

The Twisting Wounds mutator is quite powerful. This is a ranged mutator, and it can be equipped with long guns and handguns. When you infuse the Twisting Wounds mutator with a weapon, it increases the ranged damage of that weapon by 10%, only on enemies who have the bleeding status. When maxed out, this mutator becomes even more powerful. At this level, it deals 20% more damage to bleeding enemies, and its ranged weak spot and critical hits cause the bleeding effect that deals 100 bleeding damage over 10 seconds. So, as you can understand, this is quite an impressive buff. Now, the question is, how to get the Twisting Wounds mutator in Remnant 2? Let’s dive deeper without wasting any more time!

How to Get the Twisting Wounds Mutator in Remnant 2?

Twisting Wounds mutator in Remnant 2

If you’re playing Remnant 2, or if you’ve played the first Remnant game, then you must be aware of the various boss fights that the game features. Remnant 2 includes a bunch of somewhat overpowered enemies or bosses that players have to defeat to complete missions and collect various items. The Twisting Wounds Mutator is an item that you can get from a boss character (Gorge) if you manage to defeat it. Gorge, also called the Grime Crawler, is an optional boss in Remnant 2. This means you may choose to ignore this boss fight, and it won’t alter the outcome of your main quest. However, doing so will mean that you lose out on the Twisting Wounds mutator, so you will have to decide if you want this item or not.

If you really want to acquire the mutator from Gorge, you can locate this boss in either of these two locations – The Butcher’s Quarter or Cotton’s Kiln. Gorge is an aberration, meaning it’s not as powerful as the main boss characters but still poses a higher threat compared to the elite enemies. This is practically a giant four-legged monster, but you can defeat it easily with the right approach. Once you encounter Gorge, try to avoid its attacks by dodging and using a close-range combat gun, preferably to deal damage. This monster has a weak spot around its loin, so you may want to target that. Once you defeat Gorge, you’ll receive the Twisting Wounds mutator in your inventory. You’ll also receive two corrupted Lumenite Crystals, Relic Fragment, along with Scrap.

So, this is how you can get the Twisting Wounds mutator in Remnant 2. Hopefully, you’ll find this article helpful. Well, for more such gaming-related content, don’t forget to stay tuned to DigiStatement!
