It looks like Red Dead Online and Red Dead Redemption 2’s next major update on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia will be a Halloween-themed update, and that means it’s probably just around the corner as Halloween is only a few weeks away. At this point, while writing this article, Rockstar Games has announced nothing regarding Red Dead Online’s next update, but files from recent updates of the game have leaked something about the Halloween update.
More precisely, the most recent data mining attempt of the game’s files has revealed dozens of new character models, and it seems that these character models aren’t for your average American in 1899. Rather, it looks like the designs are for zombie NPCs. Adding to this there is a file of spooky music, Halloween-themed cosmetics, and much more.

This isn’t the first time files have been found hinting at Halloween content. Back in the summer, files are started being added which appeared to hint Rockstar Games had been planning something for Halloween. Since then, these are the only files that have been added to.
