Well, as of now, there is no official fix for this issue, and players are left with trying potential workarounds to fix it. So, if you’ve encountered this issue in the game, we have compiled a list of potential fixes that you can try.

Restart

A simple yet effective fix to solve almost all in-game problems is to restart the game. If you find Ratchet falling infinitely after a cutscene, close the game, restart your PC, and launch the game again. Now, load into the same level and check whether the issue persists.

Verify the game files

If there are one or more corrupt or missing game files, that could trigger this issue in the game. Here’s how you can verify your game files –

  • Open Steam and go to your Library.
  • Right-click on Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart from the list of installed games.
  • From the context menu, click on Properties and then select Local Files.
  • Click on the “Verify integrity of game files” option, and let Steam complete the process.
  • Once done, launch the game and check if the issue persists.
  • To do this on the Epic Games Launcher, head to the Library, right-click on the game, select Manage, and click on Verify.

Don’t Skip Cutscenes

If you are encountering the error right after skipping a cutscene, then it is obvious that this issue is directly related to skipping them. So, make sure to let the cutscene play in full, and then see if you encounter the same problem.

Disable Nvidia Reflex

A few players have stated that disabling Nvidia Reflex has fixed the problem for them. You can locate the option to disable Nvidia Reflex under the Display Settings menu within the game. Simply toggle it off, and check if the issue occurs after a cutscene.

Run the game as administrator

You can try running the game as an administrator and see if it solves the problem.

  • Go to File Explorer on your PC and locate the executable file of Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart.
  • Right-click on the file, and select Properties.
  • Go to the Compatibility tab.
  • Finally, checkmark the box corresponding to the “Run this program as an administrator” option.
  • Launch the game, and see if the issue persists.

Reinstall the game

If you’ve tried the aforementioned fixes and nothing works, then you have to reinstall the game to check if that solves the issue. Also, make sure that you install the game on a different SSD this time to improve your chances of fixing the error.
