If you’re facing the blue screen issue while trying to play the game, don’t overstress. Try out the mentioned workarounds and check if the issue gets resolved.

Disconnect all peripherals

If you’re facing the blue screen of death while trying to launch Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, you should first disconnect all the USB devices from your PC. Except for your mouse and keyboard, or controller, disconnect all other peripherals and then launch the game. Check if it fixes the issue for you.

Update GPU drivers

If you’re on an older version of your graphics driver, it can trigger the blue screen issue. For this, you need to have the latest GPU drivers installed on your PC.

  • Press the Windows + X keys together to open the Quick Link Menu.
  • Go to Device Manager, and select Display Adapters.
  • Now locate and right-click on the dedicated GPU that you’re presently using.
  • From the drop-down menu, click on Update Driver.
  • Lastly, click on the “Search automatically for drivers” option, and wait for the installation to complete.
  • Launch the game and check if the issue persists.

Note: You can also update your GPU drivers from the official support software of your GPU manufacturer. Additionally, you can download the latest drivers from the official website of the manufacturer.

Check your RAM

Typically, the blue screen of death issue is a result of malfunctioning RAM. You can run a diagnostic scan of your RAM using the following steps:

  • Type Windows Memory Diagnostic in your Windows search box and select the first option.
  • Click on the “Restart now and check for problems (recommended)” option.
  • Doing so will reboot your PC. When your PC starts again, you’ll be able to see the report of the diagnostic scan of your RAM.
  • If there are issues with your system’s RAM, then you will need to get it fixed or replaced.

Update Windows

You can also try updating to the latest version of Windows to troubleshoot this error.

  • Press the Windows + I keys together to open the Windows Settings.
  • Click on Update & Security, and then click on Windows Update from the tab on the left side of your screen.
  • Select Check for Updates to prompt Windows to run a check and install all possible updates.
  • Once the process completes, restart your PC and launch the game to see if the issue persists.

Move the game to another SSD

If you’re still facing the blue screen issue in Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, then try relocating the game to another SSD. Once done, restart your PC, launch the game, and see if the issue persists.
