PS5: How To Transfer Videos To Computer Without USB

PS5

To transfer PS5 videos from the console to the computer directly, a third-party source is required without using a USB drive. Since we are not directly copying or moving our files from PS5 to a USB drive to share them with another file, we need a source that can be accessed online. Henceforth, for this process, we will be using YouTube. This is because YouTube can work as a cloud drive-like source available in both the PS5 and the computer. If we link our YouTube account with the PS5, we can access YouTube from the console.

  • From the Account Settings in our PS5, we will add and link our YouTube ID.
  • With this, we can go to Media Library and upload the video of our choice.
  • Therefore, we get the option of uploading the media for sharing. The primary choice of sharing is YouTube.
  • From PS5, we can directly upload a video on YouTube.
  • Upon completion of video upload on YouTube, we can access the video from our computer.

PS5: Transfer Video To Computer

Therefore, once the video gets uploaded on YouTube, open your computer. From your computer, access a browser and go to Youtube’s website. After you enter the computer web version of YouTube, locate your account ID (it would be on the top-right). From here, click on your display picture. From the drop-down picture, select Your Channel. This would lead to your channel page. Therefore, from here, you need to click on Customize Channel. After this, you will be redirected to the channel customization page. From here, select Videos from the left side. This is where you will get to see the video, which you uploaded from the PS5. To complete the video transfer from PS5 to the Computer, you need to download this video file. YouTube provides you with the option to download your own channel videos. Take your mouse near the video which you would like to download. You will get to see three dots on the right. After clicking this, you get the option to download the video on your PC.

But this would not be full HD (like the max quality is 720p). Hence to download the best, original version, we need the help of an online YouTube downloader. But a pre-requisite to ensure this process is to make the video public. Hence you need to publish the video. Upon doing this, you will get a public, universal URL. This URL can be accessed from the address bar of your browser. Copy this URL and use a YouTube video downloader, for example, ClipConverter.

We would recommend you watching the tutorial of Michael Force, where you will get a visual understanding of this guide. Therefore, to read more guides and articles on PlayStation, head here.
