Pokemon unite is a free multiplayer online battle arena game or MOBA that was released on the 21st of July 2021 as a part of the Pokemon franchise for Nintendo Switch and soon will be released on mobile as well.

The game was jointly developed by The Pokemon Game and Tencent games subsidiary TiMi Studio Group. Its mechanics work similarly to other more popular MOBAs such as League of Legends and Dota 2, a core game of team vs team battle where each player has selected a particular character.

Pokemon Unite allows players to select a starter pokemon which they may use in these 5v5 matches where teamwork is of utmost importance to collect Aeos energy by defeating NPC’s on the map and the enemy team,   then use that Aeoss energy gathered to score more points over the opposing team.

Pokemon  Roster

There are currently 21 playable characters in Pokemon Unite, the full list can be viewed on their website, and you get the opportunity to choose your starter pokemon from a pool of 5 Pokemon which are Pikachu, Charizard, TalonFlame, Snorlax, and Eldegoss.

However, fans have been eager for their personal favorite Pokemon to be added to the current roster.

The only possible source of information fans have is from datamined leaks pointing at the release of some popular and fan-favorite Pokemon.

Simply put, Datamined leaks are information that gets sourced from the process of reading data files released by game developers, it is an attempt to try and find new updates or features regarding the game.

However, the tweet does state that only 2 of the Pokemon mentioned, Blissey and Sylveon, are reportedly playable whereas the remaining are still stated to be “Unidentified” as in it is unknown whether they would be playable, wild, or simply just removed and not added to the Roster.

Though exciting to hear for Pokemon fans, this is still simply data-mined information, and nothing is set in stone, all we can do is wait for Pokemon Unite to hopefully confirm these Pokemons arriving on Aeos island with future updates.
