Although the Pokedex of Sword & Shield does not boast high numbers, it still has some nice adjustments and necessary Pokemons to catch. Now, recent changes have rehabilitated Croagunk and Toxicroak’s ability & reputation for fighting. Suddenly they are a very decent addition to your roster. So here is a breakdown on how to find Croagunk and evolve it to Toxicroak.
Where to Find Croagunk & Toxicroak

To find Croagunk, head to Bridge Field, Dusty Bowl, Galar Mine No. 2, Giant’s Cap, Motostoke Outskirts, or Stony Wilderness. Place your best bets on Dusty Bowl or Area 2.

How to Evolve Croagunk to Toxicroak
After Reaching level 37 Croagunk evolves into Toxicroak. Long grind but definitely worth it and here’s why.
Toxicroak has great attack speed, makes for a decent sweeper. Go for broke with Gunk Shot as your main STAB attack, and either Cross Chop or Drain Punch as your second Staber. Sucker punch should be used off cooldown and should be your priority use in fights.
The 4th attack can be anything. If you are getting overwhelmed by an opponent then Revenge is a strong weapon that lets you counteract with measures. Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, and Earthquake provide great coverage against anything Toxicroak might come across. These are the simple reasons why Toxicroak is a must-have to your roster, so now get to grinding.
