Note: It is not an official fix for the problem. This method includes using a Mock Location app that includes faking users’ locations. So, we do not support the use of such applications.
Location Detection Error: Pokemon Go
This type of issue usually frustrates the players and the game fans look for the immediate fixes available for these kinds of problems. Follow these simple steps to fix the location detection error temporarily.
- Download FGL Pro from Play Store and open it.
- After installing it, you will see that a downgraded version of Google Play Services is required to run this application.
- To Downgrade it, follow these simple steps:
1. Turn Off Auto-Update
2. Download Old Version of Google Play Services (Download this application based on your android version and screen DPI)
3. Go to your settings, and deactivate “Find my Device”.
4. Uninstall your current Google Play Services and install the older version that you downloaded in the second step. - Now, go to the developers’ options in settings and allow mock location and select FGL Pro as the mock location app.
- Open FGL Pro and select any Mock Location from the world.
- Open Pokemon Go and you will notice that you are present at your mock location in the game.
