Pokemon Go OSM Update

Are you also facing a location detection issue in Pokemon Go? Read the full article to know how to fix this issue.

Published by Niantic, Pokemon Go is an augmented reality mobile game released in 2016. This game uses a GPS location as its feature and players have to roam around in the real world to catch Pokemon at certain places. Lately, Pokemon Go is not able to detect the location of Trainers (players). In this article, we are going to discuss a solution to this problem.

Note: It is not an official fix for the problem. This method includes using a Mock Location app that includes faking users’ locations. So, we do not support the use of such applications.

Location Detection Error: Pokemon Go

This type of issue usually frustrates the players and the game fans look for the immediate fixes available for these kinds of problems. Follow these simple steps to fix the location detection error temporarily.

  1. Download FGL Pro from Play Store and open it.
  2. After installing it, you will see that a downgraded version of Google Play Services is required to run this application.
  3. To Downgrade it, follow these simple steps:
    1. Turn Off Auto-Update
    2. Download Old Version of Google Play Services (Download this application based on your android version and screen DPI)
    3. Go to your settings, and deactivate “Find my Device”.
    4. Uninstall your current Google Play Services and install the older version that you downloaded in the second step.
  4. Now, go to the developers’ options in settings and allow mock location and select FGL Pro as the mock location app.
  5. Open FGL Pro and select any Mock Location from the world.
  6. Open Pokemon Go and you will notice that you are present at your mock location in the game.

We hope that you are now able to jump to any location in the World and Location Detection Error is not hampering your gameplay.

Enjoy gaming!!
