Battle League, a new PVP format, was released a few days ago and already become quite popular among the trainers. The league mode is a trainers battle mode, but with restricts the Combat Power a trainer can use in a battle. According to Niantic, trainers can choose three Pokemon when fighting in a League, and there are three different leagues sorted based on CP. These are:
Great League | 1500 CP Limit per Pokemon |
---|---|
Ultra League | 2500 CP Limit per Pokemon |
Master League | No CP Limit per Pokemon |
The first season of the league is rank-based, and it includes various rules and rewards which you can read on Niantic’s website as in this post, we are going to discuss a change which has brought glow among trainers.
According to a post by u/lithiumburrito, Niantic has nerfed the catch rate for legendaries in the Pokemon Go Battle League. Now, trainers are able to catch legendary Pokemon without going through the hardship of collecting many berries and other high demand for items. Niantic has yet to confirm this change but comments in the post give surety of it.
One user said: “I just caught Metagross with no berry and a poke ball on first try. Must’ve been easier.” While one commented: “I believe when this screenshot was taken I had an ultra ball and a silver pinapp on him. An hour ago when I caught one the circle was still dark red. My guess would be that the catch rate has been buffed from 2% (standard legendary catch rate) to 5% (ex raid catch rate.)”
