That’s an incredibly big number to achieve in such a short amount of time. And with new players joining in on the fun, that number is only going to increase exponentially in the upcoming days. While the game is loads of fun, there’s a lot that players don’t know about. This guide in particular will help you learn about the game’s save file location on PC.
Getting to know things like this is always a plus. While saving files getting corrupted is rare, it does happen. So, it’s always a good idea to make a backup of your saved files and such. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out where Palworld’s save file location is on PC.
Palworld Save File Location on PC: Where is it located?
Steam Version
Those who did a default installation of the game should start by opening the File Explorer and heading to the C drive. Next, click on Users and then the folder with your username. Next, you will see a lot of folders and files. Ignore all of them except for the one titled AppData. If it isn’t there, click on View and checkmark Hidden Items. Now, open AppData, and you will find three folders in there: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming. Open Local and keep scrolling down until you find a folder named – Pal. Once found, click on it and open Saved > SaveGames. Inside, you will find some folders with unique IDs. Open these folders, and you will find the saved games files. By the end, your file path should resemble something like this: “C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Pal\Saved\SaveGames“.
Additionally, if you want to mess around with the game’s configs, just click on Config > Windows, and inside you will find a file named GameUserSettings. This is Palworld’s config file. This is the file path you need to visit if you have downloaded the game through Steam.
Xbox Game Pass Version
If you have installed the game through GamePass, you need to follow the steps mentioned previously until you are in the AppData folder. Once there, find a folder called Packages and open it. Next, you will see a folder titled: PocketpairInc.Palworld_ad4psfrxyesvt. Click on it and open SystemAppData > wgs. Inside the wgs folder, you will find the saved files for the GamePass version of the game.
And now that you know where the save files are located, be sure to make a backup of these files whenever possible. Precautions like this can be of great help when a saved file gets corrupted or gets deleted accidentally.
