Singularity 6 Corporation’s Palia has been generating a lot of interest in the cozy-sim and MMO communities. Some bad, some good. A debut title from the Los Angeles-based video game development studio, the game is currently going through its open beta phase. Singularity 6 is eyeing a Q4 release window, so an open beta right now makes sense. The features and content available in the open beta have aided in the game getting much praise, but at the same time, the developer’s revenue model has been the target of much criticism from both the community and critics. Aside from all that, players seem to be generally enjoying the state Palia is in right now. However, like many other farm/cozy-sim games, there’s a huge amount of stuff to learn and enjoy. Catching the yellow perch is certainly one of them.
Fishing is one of the main skills in Palia. Like other games of the genre, players can choose to give less focus to other skills and choose fishing as their preferred skill to earn a living. If you don’t know what type of fish to catch, you will see a lot less profit during your playtime. That’s where guides come into play. And this guide shares all the details about catching the Yellow Perch in Palia.
Palia Yellow Perch: How to get & find
Out of the many available fish in Palia, the Yellow Perch is one of the “common” fish you will be able to catch. Contrary to its name, this particular fish isn’t entirely yellow. In fact, it has a slight tinge of green on the upper side of its body. The in-game description of the fish goes something like this: A common perch found in rivers. Found in Bahari Rivers without bait.
As you can see, the description pretty much gives you everything there is to know about getting the Yellow Perch. Players can go to rivers in Bahari Bay at any time of the day and catch them. And since it requires no bait, you are pretty much guaranteed to get one sooner or later.
Due to the common rarity of the Yellow Perch, the money you get from selling it is less compared to other fish. A base variant of the fish will net you about 21 Gold while a higher-quality one will only get you 31 Gold in total. If you want to earn money through fishing, it would be much preferable to catch fish that can get you more gold than this one, at least. Something like a Blue Marlin, or even a Prism Trout is a more profitable catch. However, if you don’t want to sell the Yellow Perch, then you can just use it as an ingredient in cooking various dishes.
