Eyeing a full release later this year, Singularity 6 Corporation’s Palia has just entered its open beta phase. It’s a cozy/farm-sim that is trying to do something different by being an MMO. Due to the genre to which the game belongs, the developers have been focusing very hard on the community aspect of it. Besides that, right now, the open beta version of the game is playable on Windows PC, and a Nintendo Switch port has also been confirmed by Singularity 6. This is a given since the Switch is generally the go-to console for titles belonging to the cozy-sim genre. The overall community response to the open beta is leaning more toward the positive side thanks to Palia’s excellent gameplay polish. Suffice it to say, Palia is a pretty fine game. Now, like its contemporaries, the game does have a lot of things that you can do, ranging from fishing to even bug-catching. Each item obtainable in the game has a purpose, and the focus of this guide, Sweet Leaf, also has one.
Sweet Leaf is just one of the many items that you will have to get and find in Palia. While most of these aren’t necessary, you should still try to know where they are located at least. This way, you wouldn’t have to spend countless hours unnecessarily wandering around in the game. And so, here’s a guide to getting and finding the Sweet Leaf in Palia.
Palia Sweet Leaf: How to get & find
The Sweet Leaf is an important ingredient/spice for many of the dishes in Palia. From Apple Pie to Trout Dinner, all these require that you include a spice (Sweet Leaf) to cook them. In-game, this item is described as the following:
Those with sweet teeth will love this Sweet Leaf, one of Palia’s favorite dessert ingredients.
As you can pretty much guess from that lovely description, the Sweet Leaf is used as a sweetener in the dishes we mentioned previously. Now, compared to some other items in the game, gathering Sweet Leaf isn’t that hard thanks to its uncommon rarity. But it’s still uncommon, so you will have to try a little harder. Players can generally find the Sweet Leaf by going to any of the following locations in the Bahari Bay region:
- Flooded Steps
- Ancient Aquaduct
- Thorny Thicket
- The Outskirts
- Proudhorn Pass
- Statue Garden
Once you are at the mentioned locations, start running around and scanning your environment for a generic-looking plant. When you have located one, go near it and grab your first Sweet Leaf. Keep on looking to get more. Like most other items in the game, players can sell the Sweet Leaf. The base variant goes for about 15 gold, while the higher one will net you 22 gold in total.
