Palia, from developer Singularity 6 Corporation, is an upcoming farming/cozy-sim MMO. The game just recently entered its open beta phase, and the developers have promised no planned progress resets. While the game is currently only available for Windows platforms, Singularity 6 has confirmed that Palia will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as well. There’s a lot of excitement in the community as Palia nears its eventual full release sometime later this year. There’s a lot to do and see in the game, and for some, it can be an overwhelming experience. Now, among the many things that you will get to do in Palia is catch a Stripeshell Snail.
Bug lovers will adore Palia, as the game allows players to catch a varied number of them. Some are common, some rare. The Stripehsell Snail is one of the many bugs that you get to catch in the game. Now, bug-catching may sound easy to you, but it is not! The Stripeshell Snail is a great example of that. However, with the help of this guide, you will have no trouble finding and catching one. So, let’s see how you can get one of these beautiful critters in Palia.
Palia Stripeshell Snail: How to get, find & catch
It’s not that easy to find and catch a Stripeshell Snail in Palia. And you can’t also ignore catching them since you need them to complete the Beach Bundle in Vault of the Waves and for various accomplishments. Since these bugs are rare, they also act like them. Players will only be able to find them during a specific period of time. Its in-game description goes as follows:
A snail with such distinctive stripes, that its shell was once used as currency among the early Majiri.
Now, if you want to catch one of these, we suggest you equip at least twenty or more Smoke Bombs. Once you have a sufficient amount of them in your possession, go to Bahari Bay either during the evening or at night. 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. is the most suitable time to catch a Stripeshell Snail. In Bahari Bay, the following are the places where you will see many Stripeshell Snail spawn:
- Beachcomber Cove
- Lighthouse Lagoon
- Coral Shores
Like catching any other bugs in Palia, you will need to have your Bug-Catching Belt equipped along with Smoke Bombs. Once all the prerequisites are satisfied, head over to one of the locations mentioned above at the specific time (also mentioned before). When you see a Stripeshell Snail, equip Smoke Bombs and aim them at the bug. Keep attacking it using Smoke Bombs until you knock it out and catch it. Every time you get one Stripeshell Snail, it will give you somewhere between 0-7 Silk Threads. If you want, you can sell them too. A base variant goes for about 120 gold, while a higher-quality one will net you 180 Gold.
