The Electronic Arts special game library Origin is popular amongst everyone. With games like Apex Legends, people are quite familiar with the virtual library. But for many players, while opening Origin, the library software takes a lot of time and comes out with a white screen. Henceforth, this hampers the playing experience. But how to get this error fixed? Read this article as we share all the required details for fixing this recurring error.
Origin: Fixing White Screen At Startup
There are multiple ways through which we can go for a fix. We would divide them into parts to read them easily and follow up with the details carefully.
Closing From Task Bar
The first is Closing It Completely. To close the software, you can go to your Task Manager by right-clicking on your taskbar. Or for a shortcut, press Ctrl+Alt+D and this would open up a Window. Through this, you can access the Task Manager. As the Task Manager opens up, you will get to see Origin running under the Processes tab. Select the software and end task (either by right-clicking or selecting the End Task button in the bottom right corner). To check if any other programme of Origin is running, you can go to the Details tab (look up, and you will find it near the Services tab). Close all Origin-based programmes from here. Henceforth, re-open Origin. If this does not help you to solve the issue, follow the alternative procedure.
Clearing Program Data Cache
Another potential method of solving this issue is by deleting the cache files. To access the cache files, press the Start button + R button to start the Run software. As the programme starts, type %programdata%, and this would lead you to the Program Data folder. From here, find the Origin folder. You can either delete the folder or rename the folder. Origin will create a new one automatically and re-download the cache.
