During a serious conversation, Roger showed a secret text which Oden was able to read. He revealed the text to be a secret cypher of Kozuki clan passed down from generations to generations. Roger revealed that 13 years ago they landed at the final destination of loge pose and later they found that there is one more island to uncover and revealed the mystery of Poneglyphs that government has made forbidden to read. Since only Oden was only one out of Wano who can decipher the road Poneglyphs (map to reach the final island), Roger asked Whitebeard to give Oden for one year, but Whitebeard refused. After boarding with Roger, Oden went to the sky Island where they found a big bell with a ciphered message about weapon Poseidon. Oden carved a message for Roger on that bell.
