WHAT! WHAT! My Heart cannot bear this guys. This is some major spoilers in MHA 284 and I would suggest for the love of manga that you wait for 18th September 2020. Also guys I was half-right! The time skip happened but took a completely different turn (flashback). Also Afro Deku looks so weird haha. Let me tell you the content of this post will be confusing because I am confused right now as well! I have no idea how to make sense of the whole chapter. My Hero Academia Chapter 284 Spoilers & Raw Scan
The chapter is titled ‘Utramarine Battle’ ( a very rough translation) meaning that Shigaraki and Deku continue their fight in the air. We have some sassy one liners sent out both ways. As Shigaraki tells Deku that if you love the sky so much I will send you to heaven after taking One for all.
Deku is planning on using 100% of his power again even after hurting his right arm before. He is ready to use OFA at full potential to stop the onslaught of Shigaraki. It looks like a very heroic moment for our main character. Then things take a weird turn as we are shown Afro Deku training his float quirk in front of other students. He is bouncing here and there and trying to control his flight.
Meanwhile, we have this very mysterious conversation between All Might and Bakugo. Bakugo knows that Deku has always been self-sacrificial and the bullying he went through was due to Bakugo’s own insecurities.
Bakugo then asks All Might about the scribbled & cutout notes of the 4th One for All user. There is a huge mystery behind the other One for All users, their history and abilities. Seems like an impending mysterious reveal that will shake the foundations of One for all is coming.
Goddamn! It is satisfying to see Deku then punch the full power out of Shigaraki, we are likely to see this battle continue in the next chapter as Machia arrives. Although, Shigaraki looks beaten to pulp and smiling very creepily.
