There is a rumour that a new Animal Crossing game for 2021 or 2022 is coming out. Animal Crossing took the world by its fingers and guided it through the tough times in the pandemic. The new Animal Crossing: New Horizons was one of the most successful games on Nintendo switch.

Animal Crossing is a social simulation video game series developed and published by Nintendo and created by Katsuya Eguchi and Hisashi Nogami. The newest addition to this amazing franchise was Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The game came out at a time when the switch was newly announced and also when the world was going through a pandemic. The latest major update for the game has incorporated items from the Super Mario Bros. franchise, like costumes, warp pipes, coins, and more. Now that we are slowly recovering from the pandemic, we can expect a new title form Animal Crossing to bless our Nintendo Switches.
The pattern of game release
Ever since I’ve started playing animal crossing, I’ve noticed a little pattern. New leaf released in 2012, HHD released in 2015, pocket camp released in 2017, and New Horizons released in 2020. And I have noticed that they’re all 2 or 3 years apart? Nintendo also said there would maybe be a new switch in early 2021. So with the news of a new switch being announced, we may get a new Animal Crossing game on our new switches.
The expectation
We all love a good Animal Crossing game and we have not been disappointed so far. This has put a lot of pressure on the new game. To be at least as good as the previous entries. Animal Crossing New Horizons was almost a perfect game. The games have been only 2 or 3 years apart and going by that logic the game can be announced in late 2021. So that it can be released in 2022. We can also expect the New Animal Crossing game to be an open-world sandbox type of game. This can bring the franchise into a whole new world.
