Need for Speed Unbound is the latest entry in the popular Need for Speed game franchise. Likewise, the game is a new take on the franchise mainly because of its focus on a unique cel shading and graffiti art style. The game also has new & unique driving effects that can be quite distracting. The driving effects in Need for Speed Unbound are new to the franchise. Likewise, the new visuals resemble a more cartoonish style rather than the realism of previous titles. This results in many players being unhappy with the changes. Players report not liking the new art style. In addition to this reason, the game’s official Twitter account tweeted the following tweet,

“Yes, you can turn the effects off. In fact, you can choose to never put them on in the first place. Just like any other part of a car”.

This gave hope to many players that they may be able to turn off the driving effects in the game, but the reality is different as there is no option available for the same. This is why turning off the driving effects in the game has become a hot topic in the NFS Unbound community.

Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound: How to Turn Off or Disable Driving Effects –

Although there are no exact options in the game’s settings to turn off the driving effects, you can follow the workaround here to reduce them.

Here are the required steps –

1) First and foremost, you have to launch the game and go to the game’s main menu.

2) Next, you have to go to the Rides option. Here, select Driving Effects. After doing so, you have to go to Tags.

3) Under the different tags, you can find the Cloaked effect. This is a common driving effect that resembles an effect that is close to real smoke. You have to equip this effect.

4) Finally, that’s all you can currently do in the game in order to reduce the driving effects and make them more realistic.
