Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound HDR Not Working Issue Is there any fix yet

Need for Speed Unbound is finally out on modern platforms and feels like a much better racing game than NFS Heat. The beautiful graffiti-like art style, variety of races, and impressive roster of cars make the game worth your time. However, there are a few things that hold back the game like various bugs and issues in the PC version. Well, NFS Unbound offers HDR support for the players, however, some have reported that it isn’t working for them. Is it a bug or the game is unoptimized? Continue reading the article to know about Need for Speed Unbound and whether is there a fix for the HDR not working issue.

Need for Speed (NFS) Unbound HDR Not Working Issue Is there any fix yet

Having HDR support in a game like Need for Speed Unbound looks drop-dead gorgeous. Sadly the PC port is broken in various aspects that will require a lot of patches to fix. We have mentioned a few of the issues of the game and their fixes that you can check out on our website. As for HDR not working in NFS Unbound, there is a temporary fix suggested by the user @whataboutmeboss to mitigate the issue.

Fix for HDR issue in Need for Speed Unbound.

First, turn off Freesync/Gsync, and enable HDR in both game and Windows. After that, enable Lighting Effects. It will make the game look less washed out and turn off Gamma Correction as well. The third step is to press Alt+tab and go to Youtube and watch an HDR-enabled video. This will override the HDR settings of the game running in the background.

If that doesn’t work, press Win+Alt+B, this will turn off HDR in windows. Once again press Win+Alt+B to enable it and Alt+Tab back into the game. There’s a chance that it might or might not work. However, you can try these methods until EA releases a fix for this issue. The final thing you can do is adjust your monitor color correction, brightness, and in-game gamma correction to fix things.

If that didn’t help, then we’ll advise you to wait for an update or patch from EA that’ll patch the HDR issue. Look for the latest updates and install them whenever you can. We hope that you enjoyed reading this article. Stay tuned for more updates about Need for Speed Unbound, guides, news, and more at Digistatement.
