- It is first important to note that you have to clear the cache under the game’s folder so that the game can start. Likewise, this may not be the most effective way of fixing the issue.
- That being said, to delete the game cache, you have to open your local drive and go to the following folder path: Documents\Need For Speed(TM) Unbound\cache folder. After going to this folder path, you have to delete the .PCDX12 file.
- Then, head to this folder path: C:\Program Files\EA Games\Need for Speed Unbound\shadercache and delete the .PCDX12 file from there as well.
- After deleting the .PCDX12 file, you will find the game does not crash anymore. However, you may have to repeat this process every time you launch the game until an official fix is provided.
