MSI RTX 3080

We couldn’t emphasize this any higher, the whole RTX 3080 launch is a mess. Not just the initial launch, but from the custom variants to the performance, the RTX 30 series is called out as one of the worst product launches ever in the tech world. We too have ended up publishing a dozen articles assuring users about the stock and product quality. But the news just can’t stop hitting lower bars.

This time, it’s MSI. Starlit was allotted to handle excess and refurbished products only of MSI, as per legal contract. But an error gave Starlit the access to an inventory they weren’t permitted to handle.

As a result, the RTX 3080 was ended up in the wrong hand, which were sold for nearly twice the original MSI’s MRP. Fans and buyers are shattered with this news, which will impact the trust MSI users have on the company.

So, the official MSI twitter account (U.S.A.) shared a post stating that a refund will be given as the Starlit employees will contact the buyers immediately regarding this issue. Here’s the full tweet-

Starlit Partner is an individual sales subsidiary working under MSI. They carry excess inventory refurbished items and would not be given newly released products such as the GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards, as such, we have conducted an investigation and found that an error allowed them access to inventory they were not permitted to handle.

Starlit partner has been instructed to contact the individual customers who purchased these graphics card products and offer two options- return the product and receive a full refund, or a partial refund of the amount paid over MSI’s MSRP.

Moving forward, MSI will enforce a stricter policy to avoid situations like this happening again. ‘

So those who have bought the RTX 3080 for an inflated cost through Starlit can either return the product and get the refund of the full amount or keep the product and get a refund of every penny paid over the original MRP.

The original price is known to be $800. MSI’s partner Starlit has sold the RTX 3080 graphic card products for $1400. But thankfully, the officials have taken the matter into their own hands and promised to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

We post related content and exciting updates every day, so stay tuned! Also, share this article with all those who might find this news helpful!
