Mortal Kombat 11 is a fighting game. It has gained huge popularity in recent times. The game is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, and Steam. Today, we are going to talk about the Mortal Kombat 11 crash on Steam problem.

Many PC players have reported that the game is crashing on steam. Well, there may be a number of reasons for this. We will discuss a few of them below.

Corrupted files

A major reason behind unexpected game crashes can be corrupt game files. This may happen when the network connection fluctuates while downloading any update for the game. This can also happen due to manual deletion or any malware attack. Go to the Steam client launcher. Under the Library tab, locate Mortal Kombat 11 and right-click on it. From the menu, click on properties. Under the Local Files tab, you will find verify the integrity of the cache. Click on it and wait for the scan to complete. This will check for damaged files and fix them automatically.

Don’t overclock your PC

Gamers generally tend to overclock their PC for better FPS while playing. When coupled with mismatching GPU and processor, overclocking the PC results in an in-game crash. Reset your graphics output and clocking frequency back to system defaults. Now, check for the error. If the error is solved, then avoid overclocking for the time being.

Update Windows and Drivers

It is best to have the latest version of Windows. Search for Check updates in the Windows search bar. Now, download and install any pending updates. Also, ensure that you have the latest drivers. Go to device manager. Under display adapters, you will find the GPU that you are currently using. Right-click on it and then select update drivers. Once done, restart your PC. This might also fix the issue for you.

These tips will hopefully fix the Mortal Kombat 11 crash issue that you are facing. In case the above tips do not work for you, get in touch with Mortal Kombat 11 forum for additional help.
