Now that Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is now available on all current platforms, fans are already wondering what the next new game will be. In this expansion, NetherRealm Studios added Sheeva, Fujin and Robocop as new characters.
Before the release of Aftermath, Mortal Kombat 11 developers did not deny but did not confirm, the release of additional character sets. Perhaps new DLCs are still not planned.
This was revealed by the thethiny data miner, who is studying the distributions of Mortal Kombat 11. According to him, from the latest version of the game, references to additional characters that have been there almost since the release of the fighting game have disappeared.
Okay so I think only Sektor is coming as DLC. All New DLC characters have interactions with Sektor, but not with Cyrax. pic.twitter.com/0O3FNzyvOw

Based on an analysis of previous versions of the distribution, players believed that Ash Williams could be added to Mortal Kombat 11. Now, thethiny notes, the distribution left references to the only unplayable character, the Sektor. According to the data miner, it can be introduced into the game as a separate DLC, all fighters would have interactions with him except Cyrax. Sektor is primarily found in the game as a participant in story mode. In favour of abandoning the release of the second Kombat Pack, it can also be said that the code name for the Aftermath add-on used by the developers was GOTY. As a rule, GOTY versions of games no longer receive large-scale updates. However, the data miner notes, in the Mortal Kombat 11 files you can still find references to the DLC and the multiplayer mode associated with the Crypt.
It should be noted that this is nothing more than a simple leak, so we cannot confirm if the game will actually receive Sektor as DLC. For now, you just have to wait for NetherRealm Studios to officially announce what will be added in the future to Mortal Kombat 11.
Perhaps, after the release of Aftermath, the NetherRealm Studios team will actually end with large-scale support for Mortal Kombat 11. Now, according to creative director Ed Boone, the studio also has other projects.
