Use of Armor in Monster Hunter Rise

There are a lot of things that you have to be mindful of when crafting your own armor in Monster Hunter Rise like resistance, armor spheres, skills, and lastly the layered armor. Depending on your playstyle, you can choose to purely opt for defense and resistance and you’ll survive even against high-ranking monsters, but if you enjoy experimenting with skills, the game also lets you do that and it has various uses. With that being said, here’s everything that you need to know about layered armor in the game.

What is layered armor?

Layered Armor is one of Monster Hunter Rise’s game mechanics that lets you customize the appearance of the armor without changing the properties and stats. The requirement of using this feature is for players reaching rank eight hub quest and after that, you can forge layered armor through the blacksmith using outfit vouchers and equip at the supply box.

By completing quests, you’ll be able to earn outfit vouchers and it’s better to stock up on them if you’re planning on changing the appearance of your armor. If you don’t like certain parts of your armor, you can also make them invisible in the “Equipment Display” option in the Manage Equipment menu.

How to craft and equip layered armor?

Crafting layered armor is simple, all you have to do is talk to the smithy and select “Forge/Upgrade Armor”, you’ll see the option “Forge Layered Armor”. To equip layered armor, follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Navigate to the “Item Box” and select “Layered Armor Settings”.
  • After that, select ” Change Layered Armor”.
  • Select which layered armor you’d like to equip.

That’s it, now you can equip your best set of layered armor of your choice when fighting monsters while looking good.
