MLB.tv is known as a subscription-based audio and video service. The service has two different tiers. Anyone can listen and watch Major League Baseball games live in HD quality through a high-speed internet connection. MLB.tv was initially being offered as a ‘Basic’ and ‘Premium’ tier.
The basic tier included the HD quality audio and video on desktop and laptop devices. The premium tier included to access live game audio and video on desktop and laptop along with mobile devices like Android and iOS devices. It was possible by a free subscription to the At-Bat mobile app through connected devices like smart televisions, Blu-ray players, TiVO DVRs, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4. MLB.TV has discontinued these restrictions and now users of both the “All Teams” and “Single Game” tier can share the same access that includes new access through Amazon Fire TV, Google Chromecast and Roku devices.
MLB.tv users have recently complained about an error. The error is being called as “media error: video not available”. Users said that they are not able to watch the Dodgers/Mets game on MLB.tv since this error is causing a lot of disturbance. Some users said that the error also appeared when they tried to watch more than one game. A few others said that sometimes the error popped up when they tried to access a certain page on MLB.tv.
Some users said that “media error: video not available” also appeared in between watching a content. The video suddenly paused and the error kept on being displayed on the screen for many hours. A few said that when they paused the video and tried to play it again, the error appeared every time and some other users experienced the error when they skipped a video by a few minutes.
