Minecraft 1.19 update: How to get, try & play early access?

The recent Minecraft version 1.18 has got us a lot of changes and we are happy about all of these. But the biggest change is the new distribution of these ores and the shift of Y level all the way down. But with this update, where will we find the diamonds? Here is everything you need to know –

HOW TO GET DIAMONDS IN MINECRAFT 1.18?

If we look at Minecraft version 1.17, the bedrock is generated at Y level zero. But in this latest Minecraft version 1.18, the bedrock generates all the way down to Y level -64! Not that is a really big change we will see in the game.

This means that we no more are going to get diamonds and other ores at our favorite Y level 12! Then the question is that how are we going to get diamonds in the latest version 1.18?

Well, to find diamonds in Minecraft 1.18, you will now have to look and mine below Y level 16, and have to go all the way down to the bottom of the world, i.e. Y level -64. To be precise, you will have to focus your search between Y level -53 and -59. Why is it so?

It is because these coordinates have the highest concentration of diamonds available for you. To be more precise, you can start your search from level -60 and above since bedrock starts spawning at -60 and below, and this can put a great impact on your search for diamonds!

HOW CAN YOU BRANCH A MINE TO VIEW THE BLOCKS?

This is kind of a glitch that allows you to see the blocks above and below you for some time. You can very well use this method to look if diamonds are somewhere close to your vicinity.

Now here is how you can do that. You already know that in Minecraft version 1.18, you have to start searching for diamonds from Y-level 16, and have to focus more between Y-level -53 and -59. So once you reach your preferred destination, you can use the branch mining technique.

To do this, you first have to create a 2×1 mining tunnel and mine until you get tired of mining in that direction. As the next step, you can choose to take either right or left, mine three blocks forward, and then you can again start mining back the way you came with another 2×1 tunnel.

You can easily go back and forth with this method and this will allow you to see perhaps about every block available on these levels. Other than that, you can also view a major part of the blocks above and below you!

DIAMOND AND OTHER ORES DISTRIBUTION IN MINECRAFT 1.18

The biggest change or update that we will see in the latest Minecraft version 1.18 is the fact that bedrock will generate all the way down to Y level -64. This means that all the ores, even diamonds, have got a new distribution base. The developers of Minecraft, Mojang Studios, shared a chart that will make you understand this distribution better.

The chart will show you how deep the ground goes this time. And you will also see that diamond is present right below everything else. If you notice, you will also see that it mentions reduced air exposure.

Diamond, Gold, and Coal will spawn more frequently within blocks if it is not exposed to air. This means you will no more find these ores in open areas like caves and ravines.

This was everything you need to know about how to find diamonds in Minecraft 1.18. Follow Digi Statement for more updates like these.
