Net Ease Games is currently aiming for a Marvel game, and that’s none other than Marvel Rivals! It will be a free-to-play, team-based shooter game where you play as Marvel heroes and villains. You join 6v6 battles, using unique skills and working with your team to win. What you can expect from this game is a fast-paced action where you combine abilities for powerful team moves and destroy parts of the environment to gain an edge. Now the main question because of which you are here: will it run on Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go & Asus Rog Ally? Let’s find out.
Marvel Rivals is set to release on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-orders are already live, and many players who enjoy gaming on the go are wondering if they will be able to join their friends in the game from their handheld systems. Let’s see if that will be a possibility.
Marvel Rivals Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go & Asus Rog Ally Support Details
Keep in mind that as of writing this article, the game has not been released. In fact, there is no distinct release date either at this point. Still, we have gathered and showcased all the information on the compatibility of Marvel Rivals on these popular handheld devices.
Steam Deck
So far, Marvel Rivals is not listed as Deck Verified or Playable on Steam. This is understandable since the game does not even have a definite release date for the announced platforms at the time of writing this article. That being said, we believe the game will be playable on the Steam Deck, although the chances of running it on the Deck’s Linux-based SteamOS are quite low. Marvel Rivals’ system requirements are not that demanding and are within the Steam Deck’s capabilities. Additionally, during the alpha and beta tests, some players successfully ran the game on their Steam Decks, as seen in gameplay videos online, but this is on Windows 11. Currently, we don’t know if the game will be supported on the Deck’s SteamOS.
Well, when the game is officially released, there is only a slim chance that you will be able to run it on your Steam Deck with Proton. If the Proton compatibility layer doesn’t work, you can always dual-boot the Deck with Windows OS. We are hoping that the developers will soon clarify the compatibility of the game with the Deck! We will update this article if more details on this front are made available.
Asus Rog Ally and Lenovo Legion Go
As of writing this article, there is no official confirmation suggesting that Marvel Rivals will be playable on the Asus Rog Ally or Lenovo Legion Go. However, during the testing phases, players have tried running the game on both the Rog Ally and Legion Go with considerable success. There are gameplay videos online for both Rog Ally and Legion Go, showcasing the same. Since both these devices are more powerful than the Steam Deck and come with Windows out of the box, Marvel Rivals will run on these devices without a doubt.
