Mario Kart Tour is a mobile game where Mario and his friends race around the world inspired by real-world cities in addition to classic Mario Kart courses! With just one finger, you can steer and drift with ease and sling devastating items as you go for the gold in cups filled with new and classic Mario Kart courses.
It was downloaded more than 90 million times in the first week. It has a free to play microtransaction mechanic, where players are restricted or have timers on unless they spend the gained currencies in the game.
Mario Kart Tour features 30 characters, 20 karts, and 10 gliders. There are a total of 16 cups just like the original Mario Kart, each cup has four races. Each race features two like, unlike the traditional three. Nintendo then decided to curb the only criticism the game got when it was released, A multiplayer mode.
Rev Up Your Engines-
There will be three modes in the multiplayer play. First would be the ‘World Match’ that will be the standard races, ‘Friends and Nearby People’ which is a fun game mode to play with friends or family and ‘Gold Races’. Though gold races will require Nintendo’s monthly $4.99 Gold Pass subscription, nearby and standard races should be available to everyone.
So from March 8, 2020, the beta version of the multiplayer mode was launched. You can download it at the Apple App Store or the Play Store. Hype is Real- Mario Kart Twitter Campaign.
