Lords of the Fallen (LotF) Infinite Death Glitch: Is there any fix yet

Infinite death glitches can be incredibly frustrating for players and can often result in rage quitting. Unfortunately, these issues are not uncommon, and players have been experiencing the same in Lords of the Fallen as well. If you’re dealing with the infinite death glitch in the game, you might be wondering if there’s a fix available. Well, in that case, you have landed on the right page. Keep reading as we go over the issue and share some workarounds that might get rid of this glitch.

When a player is killed in the game, they typically expect to respawn at a checkpoint or a specific location, allowing them to continue playing. However, in this case, when a player is killed, the game crashes. This means that when the player tries to load their saved game, their character immediately dies, and the game crashes again and again, not allowing them to progress further. This creates a frustrating cycle where the player is unable to progress or even play the game properly due to the constant crashes. So, is there a fix to this issue? Continue reading for more details.

Lords of the Fallen (LotF) Infinite Death Glitch: Is there any fix yet

Unfortunately, as of writing this article, there isn’t an official fix available at this time, which makes it even more infuriating for affected players. However, players in the gaming community are often resourceful when it comes to troubleshooting problems like this. While these solutions may not be official, some players have found workarounds or techniques to mitigate the issue temporarily. Here are some steps you can try:

Reload an earlier save

A potential workaround is to reload an earlier save (if you have a backup saved). After replacing the current save with the backup one, check if the issue persists. Doing so will reset the game state and help you bypass the continuous death and crash cycle. However, this method may result in a loss of progress, so it’s essential to weigh the pros and cons before trying it.

Log in from a different device

The player who suggested this workaround logged into the game on a different device, played a specific section of the game, and completed a task (going to a new vestige). After doing so, they logged out, and the game automatically uploaded the progress data to the cloud. The key point here is that when logging in, playing on a different device, and progressing through the game, it seems to reset the glitch when the data is uploaded to the cloud. This effectively “refreshes” the state of the affected player’s game and allows them to play again without experiencing the continuous death and crash cycle. So, you can try doing the same.

Verify files (PC)

To check if the glitch is because of a corrupted or missing file, you can try verifying the game files by following the steps given below.

  • Steam: Head to your Steam library and right-click on LotF. From the Properties menu, head over to the Installed Files tab and click on the verify files option.
  • Epic Games: Open the launcher, head to the library section, and click the three dots on the right side of LotF 2023. After that, select Manage and click on the Verify button.

If none of the above-mentioned methods fixes the glitch for you, consider contacting the support team. They should be able to provide you with additional workarounds for the same. Anyway, that is all the information we have on this infinite death glitch in LotF. We hope this guide was helpful. For more such reads like this, make sure to visit DigiStatement regularly!
