Update: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has been announced to be released with full Steam Deck compatibility. It is a Steam Deck Verified game. More details on the same can be found here.
The Like a Dragon series, formerly known as Yakuza, will be getting a new entry on January 26, 2024. Titled Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, it serves as the direct sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Fans of the series have been waiting for quite a while to enjoy the next mainline Like a Dragon title, so the hype around Infinite Wealth is understandably enormous. However, with the release date just a few weeks away, many players are eager to know whether the game will be playable on the Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, and Rog Ally.
With the Steam Deck’s release in 2022, PC handhelds became much more popular than before. While other handhelds did exist before its launch, those devices were held down by their accessibility and price. The Steam Deck changed that. And now, you have handhelds like the Lenovo Legion Go and the Rog Ally, which are somewhat more expensive than the Deck, but also offer a good price-to-performance ratio. And it’s these devices on which players are looking forward to playing the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. So, what’s the support information for the game when it comes to these three handhelds? Well, continue reading to find out!
Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth Steam Deck, Legion Go & Asus Rog Ally Support details
As of now, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio hasn’t given out any details regarding Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth being supported for the Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, or even the Asus Rog Ally. However, we are of the belief that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will in fact be playable on the Steam Deck, and the other two handhelds.
Unlike some other games that are releasing in 2024, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be released for multiple platforms on January 26, 2024, and that includes Windows too. And as you already know, both the Lenovo Legion Go and the Asus Rog Ally are running on Windows. This just leaves Steam Deck since it runs on SteamOS. While the Steam Deck’s OS might be different, we are confident that LaDIW will be supported for the Deck, considering that previous Like a Dragon games like The Man Who Erased His Name, Ishin, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon have all been Steam Deck verified.
