Liar's Bar Main Menu Not Working After Update Bug Is there any fix yet (2)

Liar’s Bar has been making waves since its Early Access release. Offering a unique twist on traditional table poker and dice games mixed with Russian Roulette, it’s a casual hangout experience where lies and bluffing are key to winning. The game has quickly gained positive reviews, drawing players to see what the deal is all about. Naturally, the buzz surrounding Liar’s Bar might have led you to try it out for yourself. But after a recent update, if you’ve encountered a frustrating issue—the main menu isn’t working, this is just the guide you need. Read on to find out if there’s any fix for this bug.

After the latest update, many players are reporting an issue where they can’t access the main menu of Liar’s Bar. Instead of the usual interface, they are greeted by an orange space flanked by two black bars, leaving the game unplayable. The audio may still be functioning, but visually, nothing happens. Since Liar’s Bar is still in Early Access, occasional bugs and glitches are to be expected as the developers work on polishing the game. However, the real test lies in how quickly and effectively these issues are resolved.

Liar's Bar Main Menu Not Working After Update Bug Is there any fix yet

As of now, there hasn’t been an official fix for this bug from the developers at Curve Animation. However, there are a few effective workarounds to help bypass this problem. Here’s a list of the fixes players have discovered that might help get your game back up and running.

Restart

The first thing you should try is the simplest: restart the game and your device. Sometimes, a fresh start is all you need to resolve temporary bugs. Make sure to run the game as an administrator by right-clicking the game’s shortcut and selecting “Run as Administrator.” This gives the game the required permissions, which can sometimes help bypass minor issues.

Reset Game Settings via Registry Editor

If the issue is caused by a settings conflict, here’s a more technical solution:

  • Close the game completely.
  • Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  • Type “regedit” and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
  • Navigate to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Curve Animation -> Liar’s Bar.
  • Delete the “Liar’s Bar” folder to reset the game’s settings.
  • Restart the game to see if the problem is resolved.

This workaround essentially wipes the game’s settings, giving you a fresh slate to start from.

Alt + Enter

A quick and easy workaround that some players have found effective is to open the game and wait for the orange screen to appear. When it does, quickly press Alt + Enter to minimize the game. Press Alt + Enter again to bring the game back to fullscreen. This action forces the game to redraw the interface, potentially fixing the visual bug.

Verify the Integrity of Game Files

If restarting and resetting settings don’t help, the issue might be with corrupt or missing game files. To fix this, go to your Steam game library. Right-click on “Liar’s Bar” and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files. Wait for the scan to finish, restart the game, and try launching the game again.

Check for Updates and Hotfixes

Always make sure your game is up-to-date. Sometimes, a patch or hotfix might be released soon after an issue is discovered. So, keep checking for updates and there are no pending updates for Liar’s Bar. If an update or hotfix is available, download and install it.

Reinstall the Game

Lastly, if none of the above workarounds resolve the issue, the final option is to uninstall and reinstall the game. First, uninstall the game from your system. Then, re-download and install it via Steam, preferably on a faster drive like an SSD. Hopefully, a fresh installation will fix the issue once and for all.

Well, these are the most effective workarounds currently available for fixing the main menu bug in Liar’s Bar after the recent update. Hopefully, this guide has been useful.
