Imagine playing your favorite PC or console games in the comfort of your surroundings. Sadly, you cannot carry those devices everywhere you go. So, to tackle this problem of gamers, portable devices are the new meta. Well, gaming on handheld devices has revolutionized the community. Hence, the gaming industry is racing towards making the handheld experience better. Legion Go provides a satisfactory performance in this race. In fact, the Lenovo Legion Go has become very popular. With a variety of features and comfortable controls, users find it a go-to device when it comes to portable gaming. However, many players are facing the issue of the Lenovo Legion Go not charging properly. Well, it’s a huge problem so we have shared some workarounds for you to try and get rid of this issue for good.

Legion Go is a portable gaming device developed by Lenovo. And considering Lenovo’s tech competency, the Legion Go is a top-tier device. It comes with a lot of features that could make gamers drool. The 8.8-inch gigantic QHD display and 144 Hz refresh rate are the gamer’s dream. Also, players can enjoy gaming from a distance using the detached controllers. Unlike Steam Deck, it has the Windows OS and interface on the device. Lenovo’s addition of features like FPS mode and detachable controllers has been the USP of this handheld. However, the battery life of this device is not so good, which is why you will have to charge it quite often. If the device not charging issue occurs in this case, your experience will take quite a toll.

Lenovo Legion Go not charging: How to fix it?

Many players have reported the not charging issue of the Lenovo Legion Go on Reddit and Lenovo forums. So, it is evident that the issue is quite common. Unfortunately, there isn’t an official fix or any acknowledgment from the developers regarding the same. Since there can be various causes of this issue, it is difficult to pinpoint the actual reason. Anyway, we have listed the workarounds that could help resolve it. So, make sure to try them:

Restart the Device

The classic troubleshooting method for any issue is to restart the device. Well, it is normally seen that some temporary software-related issues can interfere with the charging icon being shown. So, a simple restart could fix the problem. Hence, unplug the charger and power off the Legion Go. Then switch the device on and plug in the charger.

Power Menu shutdown

One user on Reddit suggested a workaround that helped him fix the problem. Well, the solution may sound dicey, but in the technical world, you don’t know what may work. So, on the Legion Go, click on Start, and then click Shutdown. Once done, power on the device again and check if it is charging again.

Check the charging port and connection

Make sure that the charger is in good condition. A faulty charging port could also lead to the device not being charged. You can also try plugging into different outlets.

Charger and cable

Well, the device comes with a 65W USB-C port charger, which enables fast charging. However, sometimes the original charger could have some problems. So, you can try using a different charger and cable. Some users have suggested using a 100-watt charger. However, it is recommended to use the original charger of Legion Go for better results.

Hardware Issues

If the above workarounds don’t work, then there could be hardware-related issues. The device battery could be at fault for an issue that arises. So, you can get the battery checked at a techspot.

Contact Support

Lastly, if the issue persists, contact the Lenovo Support. This will enable you to get an official fix to resolve the issue. Doing so can lead to a faulty device being replaced with a new one. Provided that your Legion Go has a warranty on it.

Well, folks, that was all for this guide to fix the Legion Go not charging issue. We hope that at least one workaround helps you resolve the issue. And, for more such guides and updates, visit DigiStatement daily. Also read: Lenovo Legion Go Best Settings for High FPS & performance in games
