Legends of Runeterra, a league of legends based card game released as open beta on PC earlier in January with the anticipation of a mobile release building up. So the game was released today exclusively in Singapore.
Players will be able to download the game and its full features on their IOS and Android devices, while Singapore will also gain access to the open beta for PC being the only region that was excluded in the January launch due to server errors.
The players will be able to play the game cross-platform, being able to host a match between mobile gamers and PC gamers.
The game is much like Magic: The Gathering, an alternating fast-paced card game with hit points and life points that requires quick decision making and overall strategy to win. The cards have League of Legends’ champions on the face as well as some new characters built with the world of Runeterra.
Though, currently it is only available for Singapore, players noticed that they cannot login into the game with their Garena accounts because it was hosted on Riot’s servers, so a global roll-out will be initiated soon.
There are some North American players that also got the access to the game but it is unclear if it was downloaded from Playstore using VPN or through APK. Also, the previous progress is wiped if people are using APK to login into their accounts so its better if everybody waits for the official release that will probably happen this month.
