One of the best games, Roblox which generated over $2.2Billion in 2020 is suspected to shut down. Well, is this true or just another hoax? Let’s find out. Here’s everything you need to know.
Roblox- 2021
Roblox has been a very successful title averaging over 150M players worldwide. It also was among the Top 10 Free-to-play titles of 2020 in SuperData’s Yearly Report. So, why is it suspected to shut down? Every year a rumor hits the internet about Roblox’s shutting down. It started first back in 2019 and surprisingly a group of 7000 people was formed named “Stop Roblox from shutting down”. Many people took to themselves by uploading posts related to Roblox’s shut down and their love for the game. It was later found out that it was just a hoax. Well, it didn’t stop there. One year later, the same rumor started spreading again. So, @Roblox cleared the air by posting on Twitter assuring that there is nothing related to shutdown happening anytime soon.
Let’s set things straight: Roblox isn’t “shutting down.” The same hoax (with a few details changed) goes around every year or two.
Remember: don’t believe everything y’all read on the internet! ?

Is Roblox Shutting down?
The answer is No. It is not. The company has been generating tons of profits year after year and there seems no reason for them to do so.
Roblox was created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel back in 2006 and was a major hit. However, with the death of the co-founder, Erik Cassel the future of Roblox didn’t seem bright but the game was well managed and run by the rest of the company. Many rumors spread across the community and since then, all of them proved false.
Also, another rumor that has surfaced recently was that Roblox is going to shut down due to overpopulation. Of course, this is a false rumor since everything has been cleared by the official Roblox team.
Roblox is deemed to provide the best experience to its players and will continue to generate large chunks of profits every year.
