My Hero Academia (MHA) Chapter 286 Spoilers
The chapter opens with Bakugo falling from the sky. We shift to Shigaraki writhing from the pain from excessive use of AFO powers. Todoroki catches Bakugo falling down and Shiggy comments on the pointless blood spilt in the battle. There is a very strong internal struggle going between Shigaraki and Deku. The power of AFO or OFA both starts acting erratically if the user loses his cool and gives in to aggressiveness. This points to some serious problems for Deku because he is angry at everything that has been happening. He bites Shigaraki’s extended tendril and tells him to cancel it. The reference might be to Shiggy taking away Bakugo’s quirk.
We cut to the area of Gigantomachia’s rampage in the town. Uraraka knew that something would turn out this way with Shigaraki and she wonders for the safety of all the heroes. After this part, everything in the chapter gets really weird.
We jump back to the fight between Shigaraki and Deku as we see Shiggy chomping on Deku’s face. He says “I touched it, now I get it”. In the background, Todoroki is shouting “Midoriya!!” while keeping Bakugo from falling. Suddenly, we are thrown into a trance-like world, the OFA vestige in the mind of Deku. He wonders if he is dead but realizes where he is. He sees AFO holding down Shigaraki in his chair who shouts “Don’t come out” possibly to Deku. AFO is talking to Shigaraki about him saving Shigaraki. There is a control battle going on between Shigaraki and AFO for the body. It also looks like AFO is winning the battle as he chokes Shiggy. But it is unclear.
Suddenly the last parts of MHA 286, we see Deku falling as Nana Shimura catches him. “You cannot move here yet. We will do something about that.” She tells him. That was the end of it.
