iRacing is a game for the racing fans. Unfortunately, the players are being kept away from the tracks by some petty errors. This issue is a bit old yet no particular fix has been announced. Today, we will be talking about the iRacing session not loading issue.
The general complaint that is received from players is that the game gets stuck in the loading screen or before a particular racing session. This issue can be resolved by following the steps below.
1. Add Firewall exception
It is commonly noticed that firewall or an antivirus blocks some essential files of the game. This results in either the game stopping at irregular intervals or not loading sessions. You can open up the firewall settings on your computer. Then, look for allow an app through firewall. On opening this, you will see a change settings option. Use this to add the executable file of iRacing to the list.
You can follow a similar process to add iRacing to the whitelist of your antivirus. This will ensure that no files of the game are getting blocked by the security applications.
2. Download all updates
This can help you in many ways. It is always good to have the latest version of any game. Download the updates that are pending. Also, make sure to download the optional updates for the game.
In case the updates are not getting downloaded, refresh the browser. You can also clear out the web cache files, log out of the browser and wait for a few minutes. Now, sign in again and try to get the downloads. You can also update the Windows files as well as the graphic drivers. This will ensure that the problem is not coming due to version incompatibility or such.
3. Run services
The last resort is to stop and then restart the game services. Go into the game directory in your system. Execute the file named stop_iracingservice.bat. Once this is done, now run the start_iracingservice.bat file.
These tips will hopefully help you to fix the iRacing session not loading issue. In rare cases, if this does not work, contact the iRacing support staff.
