The IDP.ALEXA.51 is usually classified as malware by antivirus softwares like AVG. It usually found in .tmp and .exe files located in various Windows folders such as the %appdata% and %temp%. The virus is primarily associated to be detected from online games like Plants vs Zombies and SeaMonkey.
So, follow the steps below to remove IDA.ALEXA.51 virus from your computer:-
- Go into Control Panel, click on Programs and sort the date to see what apps you have installed recently.
- Delete whichever app you have not downloaded yourself or any app that looks suspicious.
- The virus could also be in a app with a random name and recently, viruses have become smarter and can change their installation date. So delete whichever app you think is not needed or not downloaded by you.
Now, restart your computer into the Safe Mode.
Mozilla
In the Safe Mode, open Mozilla and click on the History tab on the top left side, and clear all of your broswer history and data
After you are done with clearing the history of your browser, click on the Help tab and select Troubleshooting Information. Now, refresh your browser.
After this process is also complete, we have to make sure that you browser does not have any malicious extensions. So go into the Extension section of your browser and check for any extension which you have not downloaded.
Google Chrome
In the Safe Mode, open up the browser and go into History from the menu button on the top right. Delete all history and data of the browser.
Now, go back into Settings and scroll to the bottom and select Reset settings and click Reset.
Now, open up Google Chrome again and go into the extensions section from the top right menu button. Delete any extension you have not downloaded or that seems suspicious.
