Earlier this week, HUAWEI announced that the HUAWEI Y9 2019 smartphone will not receive an upgrade to EMUI 10 based on Android 10 due to smartphone hardware limitations. It soon became known to hundreds of owners of the HUAWEI Y9 2019 and they signed a petition demanding to reconsider this decision and release EMUI 10 for their devices. Fortunately, the company heard its fans and said that Huawei Y9 2019 will receive an Android 10 update.

However, we have again found a tweet from Huawei India saying the Huawei Y9 2019 will not receive EMUI 10 updates due to motherboard limitations. Check out the tweet below

A user also shared a screenshot of his chat with Huawei India where you can clearly see Huawei executive mentioned that Huawei Y9 2019 Indian variant will not receive an Android 10 update.
So, the Global units of Huawei Y9 2019 will receive the Android 10 update based on EMUI 20 while the Indian variant will not receive the latest Android update.
