The music streaming market is already very crowded with old and big players like Spotify, Apple Music with their seamless integration of different devices and exclusives. Apple Music has over 60 million subcribers as of June 2019 and Spotify having 320 million monthly active users as of October 2020. Huawei has launched it’s competitor to the big players with Huawei Music, having over 50 million songs totalling to 1.2 million albums. The company says that it has over 160 million subscribers but you should take that figure with a pinch of salt.
Huawei had launched the music streaming app in China a long time ago. Huawei has now made the services available in Europe in select countries. Users can download the app from the AppGallery on their Huawei device, if your device did not have it pre-installed. On other android devices, you can download it from the link given below. It has main features like to create your own playlist, listen to radio stations. etc. It also have exclusive features like playlists designed for owners of connected watches or Party Mode, which allows you to connect other Huawei phones and simultaneously play songs on all the devices to create a surround effect.
Huawei has offered three months of free trial for Huawei Music app. It has a higher quality stream compared to it’s Swedish rival, Spotify, as it is streams at 640 kbit/s as compared to 256 kbit/s. It will be offered at €9.99/month which is identical to all of its rivals.
