Huawei is a Chinese smartphone company that was founded in 1987. Though Huawei fans were through a rough time as choosing Huawei smartphones meant a harder way of accessing Google services, officials have been putting their best foot forward to execute HarmonyOS as a mainstream software. Huawei has plans to release HarmonyOS not just with Huawei smartphones, but also as an alternative to Android OS. New rivals in the making, is it?
EMUI is the current software whose latest version is EMUI 11. A new EMUI 11 build has been released for the Huawei Mate 40 series. The new was about this build was posted as a thread on the Huawei community page (China).

A note was added that this update will be pushed out in batches. So initially, only a very few users will get the update. Huawei officials will then look into the feedback and OS performance, and finally start rolling out for a larger audience.
However, to ensure this version of EMUI 11 is experienced by as many as possible, developers have come up with a manual registration procedure.
You can head to the Settings and look for an Early Access update to grab the early access version of EMUI 11.0.0.1 for time being. Click here if you have any trouble with finding the Early Access update.
Though you will not lose any data by updating to this build manually or via OTA, it is suggested to take back up of all your files and data.
