There are a lot of reasons why we can consider Minecraft to be one of the best – if not the best – sandbox games that we have come across. You can literally do anything you want in it! It is pretty real-life-like, so you can craft anything in it.
And one of the best parts about the game is that you have a lot of animals that you can tame as well! And if you do not want animals, you have birds in the game. In this article, we will talk about how to tame a parrot in Minecraft.
You can very well tame a parrot in Minecraft. But why would you want to tame a parrot? Well, there are no amazing benefits of taming a parrot since you will not be scaring away the creepers. But, having a parrot can be pretty awesome in the game. These parrots come in a lot of bright colors and look adorable.
They make sweet noises, and can dance to the beat of the music as well! Other than that, you can have them seated on your shoulders wherever you go. And you can make them sit and stand just like you can do with a dog. For me, these reasons are enough to have a parrot in my Minecraft base.
You can tame a parrot only if you are in the Jungle biome. It is because these parrots spawn in the Jungle biome only. And this is the most difficult part of taming a parrot in the game. If you have played Minecraft for long enough, you know that finding a jungle biome is not an easy task. You have to go on long expeditions and if you are lucky, you will come across a jungle biome.
Well, if you managed to find a jungle biome, you can very well have your own parrot in the game. And it is an easy task. To tame a parrot, you need only one thing – seed. Now, you can tame this bird using any of these four seeds – melon, pumpkin, beetroot, or the regular ones.
You can use any of these. Now, this is what you have to do to tame them. Once you find a parrot, simply go near it, slowly enough not to scare it away, and then feed it the seeds.
Keep in mind that the number of tries – or the number of seeds – you need to tame a parrot is not fixed, just like taming other animals. It may take one try, or maybe more. You have to keep feeding them seeds until you see red hearts flying all around which means that you have tamed your parrot. There is no cap on the number of parrots you can tame as well! So next time you go on an expedition, keep in mind to carry enough seeds in your inventory. You might come across a jungle biome and have your parrot!
