Adopt me!

Adopt me is a massive online multiplayer game on the Roblox platform. It is one of the most popular games on the Roblox market. It has been played by at least 3 billion people as of yet. The game was initially intended as a role-playing game for children to role-play as parents and adopt other players or be adopted instead. Later 2019 was when the game added the feature of adoptable pets, which caused the game to rapidly increase in popularity. As of December 2019 Adopt Me! was played slightly over three billion times. Adopt Me! received an update that included a pet rock, available for a limited time.

How to scam people in Adopt me

The people who scam other players have typical behaviour. They first isolate their target and make sure no one else is following them. They ask for a trade and sometimes ask to see the target’s best pet. In Adopt Me! one of the main things scammers try to do is take rare items or pets away from other players, without giving anything back in return. … Offering things that are not true – such as duplicating pets, making pets flyable or ride-able. The scammer then starts the trade but at the last moment change the pet or they first give you a seemingly valuable item for free. Then the target is asked to show their pet or even “borrow” the pet. After which the scammer clicks on accept. By the target has any clue the scammer runs away taking the valuable pet with them.

How not to get scammed

Most of the players are young kids and have a lot of faith in the fair-play of others. When someone asks you to borrow something do not show your pet. If you want fair trade, don’t click on accept before you are getting something in return. Have the fastest clicking speed as most of the scammers are fast. Always bring a friend along when you trade.
