If you own the latest Sony’s fifth-generation console and wish to capture the delightful moments of you and your pals having a fun conversation in party chat, Playstation 5 comes with a built-in feature where you can record party chat and include a party in live stream, for making content or preserving it for personal use.

How to record party chat on PS5

If you’re a content creator or a streamer and aiming to create funny moments or just simply goofing around, PS5 has a great feature that allows seamless recording and includes a party in live streams as well.

For users who are new to the console and are looking for a fast method of enabling this feature, this article will cover everything that’s required to record party chat. Simply follow the necessary steps mentioned below and you’re good to go. With that being said, here’s how you can record party chat on Playstation 5.

  • Locate the share button on your PS5 controller, and hold it down, once you’ve done that, open the Sharing and Broadcast window.
  • On the bottom right side, select the “capture options” (used for video recordings).
  • Scroll down the options until you see “Include your Mic’s Audio”. Make sure the option is enabled.
  • After that, enable the “Include voice chat audio” option and go back to the “Broadcast” option.
  • After selecting the “Broadcast” option, select the three dots and then tap on the Broadcast options, scroll down until you see “Include voice chat audio”. Make sure to enable it.

After you’ve done setting up recording settings, it’s time to head to party chat. To do so, follow the necessary steps below.

  • Press the PS button and then go to the game base and select the person that you can join party chat with.
  • Select the profile and tap on “view voice chat” and under that screen, click on three dots and then select “Settings”.
  • Under the voice chat settings, turn on the “Share Your Voice” option by toggling the “allow” option.

Now your voice will be included in other people’s live streams and video clips and it will be picked up in their recordings.
