How to play What the Fog with your friends (2)

In What the Fog, the premise of the game is that you and your friends get sucked into a spooky board game full of monsters and mysteries. You’ll need to work together, running, jumping, and shooting your way through the foggy maze. Along the way, you’ll collect stuff called Bloodpoints and fix broken generators to escape. It’s like being in a crazy adventure movie, but you get to be the hero with your buddies! That being said, how can you play with your friends to begin with? Well, keep reading this guide till the end to know all about the multiplayer action in What the Fog.

In What the Fog, playing with friends is super important. It is limited to two-player modes, and you and your partner get to pick cool characters like Dwight, Claudette, or Feng Min from Dead by Daylight. Together, you make plans and upgrade your stuff to fight monsters better. And even if you get knocked out, you can still help your friends until they can revive you. It’s all about teamwork and having each other’s backs in this spooky adventure! Since multiplayer gameplay is way too much fun, let’s see how you can play the game with your friends.

How to play What the Fog with your friends

In What the Fog, the multiplayer mode doesn’t employ traditional matchmaking systems. Instead, you will be paired up with the next person in the queue, regardless of your and your potential teammate’s geographical location. This definitely has its drawbacks because there are high chances that you might end up playing with someone from a different region, which could potentially impact your gameplay due to differences in ping. This is clearly not something you want to deal with. Especially when you do not have the ability to choose your teammate, the experience can vary depending on who you are matched with. So, how do you work your way around this? Well, teaming up with a friend who is likely to be geographically close to you is the ideal solution.

How to invite your friends?

To invite your friends to join your What the Fog session, you have a couple of options. First, you can use the Steam platform to send them an invitation directly. Simply open your Steam friends list, locate your friend, and select the option to invite them to play What the Fog with you. The other option you have is to utilize the in-game invitation feature. Navigate to the multiplayer menu within the game, where you’ll find options to invite friends from your Steam friends list. Once your friend accepts the invitation, they’ll join your session, allowing you to take on the co-op adventure together. With your friend, the ping issues that we discussed earlier are likely to be non-existent, giving you a more enjoyable and coordinated multiplayer experience.

Well, that is all the information we have on how to play What the Fog with friends. We hope your doubts on this matter have been cleared.
